The Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament Festival 2025, a two-day national event, kicked off on April 2 with Union Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya inaugurating the proceedings at the Parliament House.

Celebrating democracy and youth leadership, the festival brings together 105 state-level winners from across the country, selected from over 75,000 entries, to discuss and debate India’s future policies and vision.

In his keynote address, Dr. Mandaviya urged young leaders to adopt a “Nation First” mindset and highlighted the importance of constructive conversations in strengthening democracy. The festival serves as a platform for nurturing future policymakers and creating an inclusive space for youth-driven dialogue, aligned with Prime Minister Modi’s vision for a developed India.

Day 1 witnessed spirited debates during Question Hour sessions on critical topics such as “One Nation, One Election” and youth empowerment for “Viksit Bharat.” The participants also benefited from a masterclass on public speaking by Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi, Member of Parliament. The event will continue on Day 2 with live parliamentary proceedings, voting motions, and the presentation of National Youth Awards for exceptional contributions to leadership.

Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs & Sports, Smt. Raksha Khadse praised the dialogues led by young minds and underscored the significance of their contribution toward policymaking. “This festival symbolizes India’s future leadership, powered by youth energy, vision, and innovation,” she said.

As the Youth Parliament moves forward, it is set to ignite new ideas and shape India’s progress toward becoming a Viksit Bharat.
