Elon Musk continues to hold the crown as the world’s richest individual, according to the Hurun Global Rich List 2025, marking his fourth win in five years.
Despite a significant $100 billion dip in net worth since January, Musk remains unmatched as the only individual with a peak net worth surpassing $400 billion. His wealth, however, faced challenges from his outspoken political activism and rising competition from Chinese automakers, impacting Tesla’s stock.
Close behind Musk, Amazon’s founder Jeff Bezos retained the second spot with a net worth of $266 billion. This rise comes as Amazon’s AI and cloud services gain investor confidence, despite industry-wide challenges. Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, entered the top three for the first time, with a net worth of $242 billion fueled by the company’s advancements in AI technology.
The list also highlights key movers like Oracle’s Larry Ellison and Google’s Larry Page, both of whom saw robust increases in wealth thanks to cloud computing and AI-driven developments. On the other hand, Bernard Arnault of LVMH dropped to the seventh spot due to challenges in the luxury market, notably in China.
The Hurun Global Rich List continues to provide a window into the economic dynamics shaping the fortunes of billionaires around the world.
