New Delhi: As many as eight persons were killed in a road accident near Jogia Kotwali area in Uttar Pradesh’s Sidharthnagar on Sunday.
According to reports, the incident took place while an SUV was returning from a wedding procession when it collided with a parked truck.
Subsequently, eight people died in the accident while three were seriously injured.
The injured persons were immediately referred to the district hospital in Gorakhpur.
On being informed, police reached the spot and recovered the bodies for post-mortem. Further investigation is underway in this regard.
