Bhubaneswar: A man, appointed as a driver to one Alka Nanda at Patrapada, was arrested by the police for allegedly selling the owner’s car.
According to available information, the accused, identified as Ashish Kumar Jena (24) from Keonjhar, reportedly sped away with the car on 19 November, 2020. Though Alka tried to contact Ashish, his cellphone remained off.
However, in shocking turn of events, he returned after exactly 15 days along with the four-wheeler, but started misbehaving with his owner.
Later, Ashish took out the vehicle one more time in order to sell it. He reportedly sold the vehicle to someone in Chakeisiani without informing his owner and fled from Bhubaneswar.
After being unable to trace the car, Alka lodged a complaint against the accused driver at Saheed Nagar police station.
On the basis of the complaint, police arrested the accused driver and forwarded him to the court.
