Odisha’s renowned educationist and social reformer, Dr. Achyuta Samanta, has been conferred with the prestigious Gurudev Kalicharan Brahma Award 2025 in Assam’s Kokrajhar.
The award, presented by the Gurudev Kalicharan Brahma Trust, recognises his exceptional contributions to education and social empowerment.
Named after the revered Bodo community leader Gurudev Kalicharan Brahma, also known as the ‘Mech Gandhi of Assam,’ this award celebrates distinguished individuals excelling in various fields. Dr. Samanta was honoured on the occasion of Brahma’s 166th birth anniversary, receiving a citation, a memento, and a cash prize of ₹1 lakh, which he generously donated for the Trust’s development.
Expressing gratitude, Samanta reaffirmed his commitment to advancing education and fostering societal progress. His relentless dedication to empowering underprivileged communities through institutions like KIIT & KISS has earned him widespread admiration and recognition.
