Kolkata: The Election Commission has recovered 41 crude bombs from West Bengal’s South 24 Parganas district amid Assembly polls.
Ahead of third phase of assembly polls in West Bengal, crude bombs were recovered from different parts of the state. On April 2, police found crude bombs near railway track in Jangipur and 41 country-made bombs from Padmapukur area of Bhangar police station area in South 24 Parganas district.
A raid was conducted based on the information and the recovery was made from a bush in the presence of policemen of Baruipur police station.
A specific case has been registered over this incident.
Deputy Election Officer South 24 Parganas informed that investigation of the case is going on while no one has been arrested till now.
