Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan met the family of a minor assault victim from Balanga, Puri district, at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi on Sunday.
The minister shared details of the visit on the social media platform ‘X,’ expressing his condolences and concern for the victim’s health.
The minor, who suffered severe injuries in a tragic incident in Balanga, Puri, was admitted to AIIMS Delhi at 4:20 PM on Sunday for advanced medical care. Reports indicate that approximately 75% of her body has been affected by burns, leaving her in critical condition. She is currently on oxygen support and receiving treatment in the ICU Burn Unit and Plastic Surgery Block at AIIMS. A dedicated medical team is closely monitoring her condition.
During his visit, Minister Pradhan discussed the victim’s health status with AIIMS authorities and extended his sympathies to the family. In his statement on ‘X,’ he prayed for the girl’s speedy recovery, invoking the blessings of Lord Jagannath for her swift return home. Prior to this, the minister had also visited the victim’s family at AIIMS Bhubaneswar to inquire about her condition.
