In a late-night move that underscores the government’s seriousness over the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan convened an important high-level meeting at his official residence in New Delhi shortly after returning from Ahmedabad on Thursday evening.
The marathon discussion focused on all critical aspects related to the upcoming NEET examination. Senior officials from across the education ecosystem were present, reflecting the Centre’s intent to leave no stone unturned in ensuring transparency, fairness, and smooth conduct of the country’s most competitive medical entrance exam.
Those who attended the meeting included the two Secretaries of the Ministry of Education, the Director General of the National Testing Agency (NTA), the Commissioners of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Sangathan (NVS), the Chairman of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), and other senior officers of the Education Department.
