The revered Dhableswar Temple is set to host a series of spiritual and cultural events as part of the annual Kartika festivities, culminating in the grand celebration of Bada Osa on November 3.
The temple authorities finalized the schedule during a recent preparatory meeting, ensuring smooth arrangements for the influx of devotees.
The Bada Osa festival will be observed on Monday, November 3, with special rituals and offerings to Lord Dhableswar. The following morning, November 4, devotees will receive the sacred “Gajabhoga” prasad. On November 5, the temple will celebrate Kartika Purnima with the traditional “Danga Bhasa” — a ceremonial boat procession on the Mahanadi River.
The month-long Kartika Brata, observed from October 8 to November 5, includes daily worship and fasting by devotees. The final five days, known as Panchuka Brata (November 1–5), are considered especially auspicious, drawing pilgrims from across the state.
Temple authorities have assured that all arrangements — including crowd management, sanitation, and security — are in place to ensure a peaceful and devotional atmosphere.
