Cuttack: DGP Sunil Kumar Bansal along with Police Commissioner Saumendra Priyadarshi, Cuttack DCP Pinak Mishra and CMC Commissioner Ananya Das today visited Barabati stadium to review security preparedness ahead of the second T20I between India and South Africa to be held on Sunday.
The DGP after visiting the stadium said that adequate security arrangements will be done for the smooth conduct of the match.
“Spectators in full capacity will watch the second T20I at the Barabati Stadium. The match will be played with 100 per cent spectators capacity under the newly installed LED Flood Light (the first LED Sports Flood Light in Odisha) and newly laid sand-based outfield,” the DGP said.
After a security inspection at Barabati stadium, Police Commissioner said, “As many as 62 platoons of the police force will be deployed. Four Additional DCPs, 200 officers will be in charge and special parking arrangements made for visitors in 5 different places.”
Both the teams have reached Bhubaneswar today and security has been tightened in the state capital.
