Delhi University (DU) has seen a robust response to its first round of undergraduate (UG) admissions for the 2025-26 academic year. According to the university’s latest update, 72,659 candidates have accepted their seat allocations, while colleges have approved 14,939 applications so far.
These numbers come following the release of the first Common Seat Allocation System – Undergraduate (CSAS-UG) list on July 20 at 5 PM. The total number of seat allocations stands at 93,166 for 71,624 available seats, indicating room for reallocation and seat shifting in upcoming rounds.
A senior DU official explained that the over-allocation aligns with past trends where students frequently shuffle between colleges to secure preferred choices.
