Delhi Police Special Cell arrested two suspected terrorists undergoing training for suicide attacks, exposing an ISIS-inspired module operating in India.

The operation, led by Additional Commissioner Pramod Kushwaha and ACP Lalit Mohan Negi, resulted in the arrest of Adnan from Delhi and another suspect from Madhya Pradesh. Authorities recovered a cache of arms and ammunition during the raid. Investigators believe the module was planning attacks in high-footfall areas across Delhi.

Sources suggest the module may have links to Pakistan’s ISI, which allegedly supports such networks under the guise of the Islamic State. The suspects were reportedly being trained for “fidayeen” missions, a term used for suicide attacks. Agencies are now probing their international connections and tracing other associates involved in the network.

The arrests followed weeks of surveillance and intelligence gathering. Officials continue to interrogate the suspects to uncover the full extent of their plans. The operation remains active, with security forces working to neutralize any remaining threats.

Delhi Police emphasized the importance of vigilance and coordination among law enforcement agencies to prevent such terror plots. The bust marks a significant breakthrough in counter-terrorism efforts and highlights the ongoing threat posed by radicalized groups inspired by ISIS.
