The Delhi Capitals continued their dominance in the TATA IPL 2025 with a resounding six-wicket victory over the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Match 24 at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
KL Rahul stole the show with a mesmerizing unbeaten 93 runs off 53 balls, ably supported by Tristan Stubbs, who added 38* off 23 deliveries.
Chasing a target of 164, Delhi faced early setbacks, losing three quick wickets within the powerplay. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yash Dayal kept the pressure on, leaving DC struggling at 39/3.
However, KL Rahul’s calculated innings, paired with Stubbs’ composure, turned the game around. The duo combined for a match-winning partnership, guiding Delhi to victory with 13 balls to spare.
Earlier in the game, RCB had a flying start, thanks to Phil Salt’s aggressive 37 off 17 balls, including a stunning 30-run over against Mitchell Starc. However, DC’s bowlers made an impressive comeback, led by Kuldeep Yadav’s superb 2/17 and Vipraj Nigam’s impactful 2/18.
Their disciplined efforts restricted RCB to 163/7, despite a late flourish from Tim David, who remained unbeaten on 37 off 20 balls.
This victory marks Delhi’s fourth consecutive win, making them the only unbeaten team this season. KL Rahul’s form, coupled with their lethal bowling attack, cements their position as early favourites for the title.
