Subarnapur Police arrested four men, who launched a deadly attack on a wedding party on February 25, targeting Bishwamitra Pradhan’s family during his son’s marriage journey.

As the family reached Chakamunda Chhak near Badamal village, Alok Kumar Sahu and his associates launched a violent assault on Rohit Pradhan. They used a sharp iron weapon and a metal pipe in an attempt to kill him. Bishwamitra Pradhan filed a written complaint, prompting Charmal police to register Case No. 35/26 and begin an immediate investigation.

Police acted swiftly and arrested all accused involved in the attack. The arrested men include Alok Kumar Sahu, 36, of Majhipada, Lipun Thapa, 19, Pratap Dehuri, and Babulal Bagh, 28, of Tikirapada. Investigators seized a Bolero vehicle, an iron cutter, a metal pipe, two mobile phones, and ₹12,970 in cash from the accused.

Sub‑Inspector Sanjay Kumar Pradhan confirmed the arrests and recovery of weapons and cash. Authorities continue to investigate the motive behind the attack while ensuring strict legal action against those responsible.
