Public entry and darshan of the Holy Trinity at the famous Jagannath Temple in Puri will remain temporarily suspended for three hours this afternoon.
According to officials of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), general devotees will not be allowed inside the temple premises from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
The three-hour restriction on darshan is being observed on account of the ‘Diba Pahuda’ ritual (afternoon repose) of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra. During this designated timeframe, essential secret rituals of the deities will be performed inside the Garbagriha (sanctum sanctorum).
The temple authorities have appealed to the visiting devotees and pilgrims to plan their visit accordingly to avoid any inconvenience during these hours. Public darshan will resume as normal following the completion of the rituals at 7:00 PM in the evening.
