Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorological Department’s (IMD) regional centre here has issued yellow alert for three districts of Odisha today.
According to IMD’s latest bulletin, “the cyclonic circulation now lies over east-central and adjoining northeast Bay of Bengal extending upto 5.8 km above mean sea level. It is very likely to move west north-westwards and reach Northwest Bay of Bengal off north Odisha-WestBengal coasts during the next 12 hours.”
Under the influence of this, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of North Odisha and at a few places over the districts of South Odisha, said the IMD.
The IMD has also issued yellow warning for Bhadrak, Balasore and Mayurbhanj districts today.
