Paradip: Due to the impending threat of the cyclonic storm Yaas, ports in Odisha have been asked to take adequate precautions.
Vessel berthing at the Paradip port was asked to be emptied by 12 pm today.
The port will have to suspend vessel berthing anticipating the landfall of Cyclone Yaas on May 26.
A circular advised all terminals of the port to secure their cargo handling equipment and comply with the heavy weather contingency plan.
All vessels at birth were asked to be emptied out by 12 pm.
While dreading into the sea through anchorage have been asked to be carried out carefully, transportation of cargo goods have been asked to be stopped by 12 pm.
As heavy to very heavy rainfall accompanied by high-velocity wind is likely to batter several coastal officials and engineers have been asked to remain alert and prepared.
