Cuttack: Three home Guards were arrested for allegedly looting Rs 25,000 from a person at Dolamundali area in Cuttack district.
The arrested accused has been identified as Chandan Parida and his two associates.
Reportedly, the incident took place while the victim was on the way to a hospital when the accused Home Guards intercepted him and asked about the mask.
Following this, he gave Rs 500 to them. After knowing that the victim had more money, they snatched Rs 25,000 from his possession.
With no option left, the victim lodged a complaint with the Dolamundali police station. Acting on the complaint, police launched a probe and arrested three accused persons.
The accused have been forwarded to court, sources said.
