Congress leader and former MLA Biswajit Patra appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for the second consecutive day in connection with the sand mafia case.
His marathon interrogation continues as officials probe political and financial links.
Reports indicate that Patra faced nearly eight hours of questioning yesterday, and the process resumed today at the ED office. The interrogation follows raids at the residences of individuals linked to the sand mafia. Investigators are focusing on Patra’s alleged connections and financial transactions.
The ED is examining Patra’s association with the sand mafia and other related persons. The probe aims to uncover the extent of political involvement and economic networks supporting illegal sand mining operations in Odisha.
Although Patra has not issued any statement after the questioning, sources suggest he has claimed the investigation is politically motivated. His silence has added to speculation in political circles.
