At least six people were injured in a targeted terror attack during a pro-Israel rally in Boulder, Colorado, on Sunday.
The attacker, identified as Mohamed Sabry Soliman (45), allegedly shouted “End Zionists,” “Palestine is free,” and “They are killers” before throwing Molotov cocktails and using a makeshift flamethrower on the crowd.
The incident occurred near 13th and Pearl Street during a weekly event called “Run for Their Lives”, organized in solidarity with Israeli victims.
According to the FBI Denver office, the incident is being investigated as an act of terrorism. FBI Special Agent Mark Michalek stated, “It is clear this was a targeted act of violence.
Soliman, who was also injured during the attack, is currently hospitalized. Authorities have yet to formally announce charges but emphasized that they intend to “hold him fully accountable.”
In purported video footage, a shirtless man — believed to be the attacker — can be seen pacing as flames spread across the grass in front of him. Eyewitnesses reported panic as the attacker ignited explosives among peaceful demonstrators.
Local law enforcement had initially been cautious about assigning motive but later confirmed that the suspect’s anti-Zionist slogans and the targeted nature of the assault pointed toward a hate-driven act of terror.
