Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) regional centre on Thursday said that several districts of the State will witness another grip of cold wave in the next 48 hours.
The condition will prevail till Monday (February 1), the IMD added.
According to the latest bulletin, the night temperature will fall by 3-4°C in the north and interior districts of Odisha and by 2-3°C in the rest of the state in the next three days.
The IMD has also issued a two-day yellow warning for dense fog in the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Nayagarh, Angul, Puri, Dhenkanal and Mayurbhanj on January 31 and Kandhamal, Boudh, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada and Bhadrak on February 1.
Besides, there will be light rainfall at one or two places in the district of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Balasore for two days from Thursday night under the influence of a trough in easterlies from south Madhya Maharashtra to south Chhattisgarh across Marathwada and Vidarbha. This will result in a sharp fall in the night temperature from Saturday, the IMD said.
