The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), a youth-led movement that has gained attention over education-related controversies, has announced three spokespersons ahead of its planned nationwide protest on June 6.

The organization introduced investigative journalist Saurav Das, filmmaker and author Vijeta Dahiya, and public policy activist Ashutosh Ranka as its official voices for media engagement and public communication.

The announcement comes as the movement continues to attract support from students and young professionals concerned about recent controversies involving CBSE, NEET, CUET, and other examination systems.

Who Are the New Spokespersons?

Saurav Das Named Chief Spokesperson

Investigative journalist Saurav Das has been appointed as the Chief Spokesperson of the movement.

According to the organization, Das has spent years reporting on legal, judicial, environmental, and social issues. He was also associated with public campaigns and civic movements, including anti-pollution initiatives in New Delhi.

Speaking after joining the movement, Das said young people across the country are demanding accountability and transparency in matters affecting their future.

Vijeta Dahiya Brings Research and Media Experience

Writer, filmmaker, and content creator Vijeta Dahiya has also joined the communications team.

A graduate of Delhi Technological University (DTU), Dahiya has worked in research and content creation and is known for her work in digital media and filmmaking. She has authored books and directed regional films while engaging with social and public policy issues.

Her inclusion is expected to strengthen the movement’s outreach among young audiences across digital platforms.

IIT Kanpur Alumnus Ashutosh Ranka Joins Leadership

The third spokesperson, Ashutosh Ranka, is an alumnus of IIT Kanpur and the London School of Economics.

Ranka previously worked with global consulting firm McKinsey & Company before returning to India. Since then, he has participated in several public-interest campaigns focusing on education, youth issues, and environmental concerns.

Following the announcement, Ranka expressed support for the movement’s objectives and emphasized citizen participation in democratic discussions.

June 6 Protest to Focus on Education Concerns

The Cockroach Janata Party has announced a press conference in Delhi to outline plans for its June 6 demonstration.

According to the organizers, the protest will focus on concerns raised over examination systems, alleged irregularities, paper leak controversies, and demands for greater transparency in educational institutions.

The movement says it aims to provide a platform for students and families seeking reforms in examination administration and accountability mechanisms.

Sonam Wangchuk Extends Support

The movement received a boost after noted environmentalist and education reform advocate Sonam Wangchuk expressed support for the upcoming protest.

Wangchuk stated that he may join demonstrators in Delhi if concerns raised by students and activists remain unresolved. His statement has further amplified public attention surrounding the planned event.

Why the Movement Is Drawing Attention

Over the past few weeks, examination-related controversies have dominated public discourse, especially among students preparing for competitive examinations.

The emergence of the Cockroach Janata Party reflects growing youth engagement on issues related to education, governance, transparency, and institutional accountability.

With its leadership team now expanded and public support increasing, all eyes will be on the June 6 protest and the demands likely to be raised by participants.
