In light of increasing reports of illegal coal smuggling in the Hemgiri area, District Collector Manoj Satyawan Mahajan has taken decisive action to curb these unlawful activities.
Officials, including the Sub-Collector, Deputy Director of Mines (DDM), and Tehsildar of Hemgir, have been directed to inspect coal washeries and depots in the region.
The inspections aim to verify stock details and ensure that all documentation is in order. Any irregularities discovered during this thorough investigation will result in strict action. The deadline for completing these inspections is three days, and a compliance report must be submitted promptly to the Collector.
The initiative demonstrates a strong stance against illegal mining and transport, prioritizing resource conservation and adherence to lawful practices.
