Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi begins a two-day visit to Sambalpur district today, and he will inaugurate several major development projects aimed at boosting urban infrastructure, healthcare, and public services.
During the visit, the Chief Minister will launch a 24×7 drinking water supply project, a new trauma care building, and eco-friendly e-bus services. Moreover, these initiatives form part of the state government’s broader strategy to ensure balanced and inclusive development across western Odisha.
Majhi emphasised the government’s vision for Sambalpur through a post on the social media platform X. He stated that the administration remains committed to transforming Sambalpur into a model district, focusing equally on infrastructure growth and social progress. Furthermore, he highlighted the importance of creating sustainable solutions that directly benefit residents.
The projects will benefit thousands of people by addressing critical needs such as reliable water supply, emergency healthcare, and sustainable transport. In addition, officials noted that these developments align with the government’s long-term plan to strengthen western Odisha’s role in the state’s overall progress.
