Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed joy on X over the safe return of Adarsh Kumar Behera, an Odia youth from Jagatsinghpur district who had gone missing in Sudan.

Majhi stated that the state government took the matter seriously as soon as information about Adarsh’s disappearance was received. He added that the government maintained continuous coordination with the Ministry of External Affairs to ensure his safe rescue.

“Thanks to the swift steps of the Government of India and the cooperation of international mediators, Adarsh has now reunited with his family,” Majhi wrote, extending gratitude to the Ministry of External Affairs and the Indian Embassy in Sudan for their efforts.

The Chief Minister emphasised that the safety and welfare of Odias living outside the state or abroad remains a top priority for his government. He assured that during times of crisis, the state will always stand by its people.
