The Chief Minister noted that Odisha’s conviction rate rose by 87.6% by the end of 2025 after the implementation of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. He highlighted improvements across investigation and trial stages, including a 166% rise in Zero FIRs.
Modernisation Drive
Majhi also pointed to initiatives such as laying the foundation for National and Central Forensic Science institutions, signing MoUs with IIT Bhubaneswar and the National Defence University to train police in modern technology and advanced skills.
Participation
Senior Odisha Police officials, students from schools and law colleges, and legal professionals attended the exhibition, which aims to educate citizens about the impact of India’s revamped justice system.
