Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday released the third installment of the CM-Kisan scheme, extending financial assistance to over 51 lakh small and marginal farmers across Odisha.
Each beneficiary has received Rs 2,000 directly into their bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
The disbursement was made at a state-level function held at Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) in Bhubaneswar, in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister and Agriculture Minister KV Singh Deo.
The CM-Kisan scheme provides Rs 4,000 annually in two installments to support farmers. With this latest transfer, the total assistance released under the scheme has reached Rs 1,041 crore. Officials said the funds will help farmers meet their early cultivation needs for the upcoming Rabi 2025-26 season.
