Chief Minister Mohan Majhi took part in a mini marathon aimed at raising awareness about the security of the Similipal Tiger Reserve.
The event, which saw participation from various sections of society, highlighted the importance of protecting the reserve’s unique biodiversity.
In his address, Chief Minister Majhi emphasized the state’s commitment to the preservation of Similipal. “Provisions have been made in the budget for the security and conservation of Similipal,” he stated. He announced that a significant allocation of Rs 50 crores has been earmarked for the Ama Similipal Yojana, a scheme dedicated to the enhancement of security measures in the tiger reserve.
“The government is determined to ensure the safety and protection of our precious natural heritage,” the Chief Minister added. The funds will be utilized for various projects and initiatives aimed at safeguarding the wildlife and natural resources of Similipal.
The mini marathon, with its message of security for Similipal, underscores the collective effort required to preserve the ecological balance and protect the diverse flora and fauna of the region.
