In response to the recent terror attack in Kashmir, the Union Minister for Civil Aviation, Ram Mohan Naidu, has taken decisive steps to address the situation and provide relief to those affected.
Collaborating closely with the Home Ministry and other relevant authorities, the Minister prioritised the safe evacuation of tourists and victims stranded in the region.
Four special flights from Srinagar have been arranged—two to Delhi and two to Mumbai—with additional flights on standby for any further evacuation needs. Naidu has also issued a strong advisory to airline operators to maintain regular fare levels and avoid surge pricing during this sensitive period.
Further, airlines have been instructed to cooperate fully in transporting deceased individuals to their respective home states, ensuring collaboration with state governments and local authorities.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation continues to operate on high alert, committed to extending every possible assistance to those affected by the tragedy.
