Chelsea Football Club has officially announced the appointment of Liam Rosenior as its new head coach on a contract running until 2032.
Rosenior arrives from the French side Racing Strasbourg, where he guided the club to European qualification in his debut season. He replaces Enzo Maresca, who left the Blues on New Year’s Day.
“I am extremely humbled and honoured to be appointed Head Coach of Chelsea Football Club. This is a club with a unique spirit and a proud history of winning trophies,” Rosenior said in his first statement. He pledged to uphold Chelsea’s identity and values, emphasising teamwork, unity, and togetherness as the foundation for future success.
The son of former player and coach Leroy Rosenior, Liam enjoyed a 16-year professional career as a full back, representing Fulham, Reading, Hull City, Brighton & Hove Albion, and England Under-21s. He began his managerial journey at Hull City in 2022 before moving to Strasbourg in 2024.
Chelsea officials expressed confidence that Rosenior’s leadership and philosophy will help the club continue its tradition of winning trophies and competing at the highest level.
