In an exhilarating showdown at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, New Zealand clinched a significant victory against Bangladesh, winning by 5 wickets and securing their spot in the semi-finals.

The match, held at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, showcased top-tier cricketing talent and strategic prowess.

Bangladesh set a competitive target, posting 236/9 in their allotted overs, with Najmul Hossain Shanto leading the charge with an impressive 77 runs. Despite their best efforts, Bangladesh’s total was not enough to deter a determined New Zealand side.

Rachin Ravindra shone brightly for New Zealand, scoring a commanding century that anchored their chase. Tom Latham supported with a crucial 55 runs, ensuring their team’s steady progress towards victory. The bowling attack was spearheaded by Michael Bracewell, who took 4 pivotal wickets, dismantling the Bangladeshi batting lineup.

This win not only propelled New Zealand into the semi-finals but also dashed Pakistan’s hopes of advancing. The semi-final stage will now feature New Zealand and India, promising more thrilling cricketing action ahead.
