Odisha Vigilance officials have uncovered a treasure trove linked to Deputy Ranger Rama Chandra Nepak of Jeypore Forest Range, Koraput district.
During extensive searches at multiple locations tied to Nepak and his family, investigators unearthed:
- A multi-storey building (~3,600 sq. ft.) on NKT Road, PR Petta, Jeypore
- A 3-BHK flat (1800 sq. ft.) in UMS Bhagabati Mansion, Bhubaneswar
- Two 2-BHK flats (each 1500 sq. ft.) in Golden Height Apartment, Jeypore
In addition, two high-value plots in Jeypore town have been traced, alongside:
- Rs 1,43,34,000 in recovered cash — including Rs 1.38 crore found stashed in a secret chamber inside Flat No. 510, Golden Height Apartment
- 1.5 kg gold and 4.637 kg silver
- A KIA Carens four-wheeler
- Financial documents, bank deposits, and investment papers under scrutiny
In ongoing DA searches against Nepak, the total bank deposits in 10 accounts across 4 banks amount to Rs. 1,32,19,739, which is in his name and those of his family members. Details regarding insurance, other deposits, and investments are being ascertained.
