Nabarangpur: Unidentified miscreants attacked a businessman with sharp weapons and robbed Rs 4 lakh from him near Chakalapadar Ghati in Nabarangpur district today.
According to sources, the matter came to light after locals informed the matter to police. Police reached the spot and launched a probe into the matter.
According to sources, the victim, identified as Rajendra Yadav, was heading towards market on his motorcycle when three miscreants started chasing him on a bike. Later, they attacked Yadav on his right hand and snatched the bag containing the cash.
Following the incident, Yadav sustained critical injuries.
Yadav is reportedly undergoing treatment at Nabarangpur hospital.
