A bus travelling from Bhubaneswar to Balasore collided head-on with a truck near Soro College Chhak on National Highway-16, leaving 40 passengers injured.
The accident occurred on Wednesday afternoon, prompting immediate rescue efforts.
According to reports, the private passenger bus, named ‘Ajay,’ was crossing a bridge near Satsang Vihar when it crashed into a trailer. While all 40 passengers sustained injuries, none were reported to be in critical condition. The truck driver, however, was trapped between the vehicles for an extended period before being rescued by the fire brigade.
Emergency responders swiftly arrived at the scene, transporting the injured to nearby hospitals for medical attention. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident, ensuring necessary measures are taken to prevent similar incidents in the future.
