The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will reveal its new Odisha state president before the government completes its first anniversary, confirmed Minister Rabi Narayan Naik.
The announcement is expected during the BJP’s Parliamentary Board meeting, amid increasing speculation on who will lead the party’s next phase in the state.
Minister Naik emphasised that the selection process is deliberate, ensuring that only capable and deserving individuals take up the leadership role. He also attributed the delay in the announcement to national political developments.
Senior party leaders reiterated that the BJP values grassroots involvement and that ordinary workers have the potential to rise to leadership positions, citing examples like JP Nadda and Amit Shah.
Potential candidates include Manmohan Samal, former BJP president Samir Mohanty, and ex-Union Minister Bishweswar Tudu. The leadership selection is set to play a crucial role in shaping the BJP’s strategy in Odisha as it gears up for future political challenges.
