The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release Class 10 and 12 board exam results this week, bringing relief to over 42 lakh students across India.
Candidates can check their results on CBSE’s official websites (cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in) and other platforms like DigiLocker, UMANG app, and SMS services.
This year, CBSE introduces changes in its examination framework, including the dual board exam system for Class 10, starting in 2026. Under this approach, students can take board exams twice a year, with their best score considered final. Officials believe this will reduce exam stress and offer flexibility.
Additionally, the board maintains its relative grading system, ranking students based on percentile instead of fixed cutoffs. Advanced-level papers for Science and Social Science in Classes 9 and 10 will also be implemented to improve conceptual testing.
With last year’s pass percentages standing at 93.60% for Class 10 and 87.98% for Class 12, experts anticipate similar trends this year. The minimum passing mark remains at 33% per subject, and supplementary exams are expected soon after the results.
