Former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s health condition has shown notable improvement, according to the latest medical bulletin issued today by the hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
Doctors said Patnaik is now feeling “refreshed and stable,” though treatment and close monitoring will continue.
Hospital authorities informed that Patnaik responded positively to medication and therapy over the past 24 hours, leading to a significant improvement in his overall health. “He is more energetic, interacting well with medical staff, and showing encouraging progress. His vitals remain stable, and supportive care will continue as per protocol,” the statement read.
The five-time former Chief Minister was admitted earlier this week following complaints of fatigue and weakness. Since then, a dedicated team of senior doctors from multiple specialisations has been supervising his treatment.
Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan prayed for the speedy recovery of Patnaik.
Today’s bulletin has brought relief to his supporters. Party workers at Naveen Nivas and BJD offices in different districts were seen distributing sweets after hearing reports of improvement.
Medical authorities, however, urged caution, emphasising that treatment will continue and complete recovery will take more time. Another health update is expected in the next 24 hours.
Patnaik, who served as Odisha’s Chief Minister for over two decades, remains one of the most influential leaders in the state. His health condition continues to be watched closely by the people of Odisha, with prayers and messages pouring in on social media.
