In a strategic move to enhance its organisational framework, the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has appointed senior leaders to spearhead various frontal wings and cells.
These appointments aim to streamline party operations and mobilise efforts in key sectors.
Prasanna Acharya will lead the Biju Krushak Janata Dal, focusing on farmer-related policies. Ananga Udaya Singh Deo takes charge of the Regional Development Cell, ensuring balanced growth across Odisha. Ranendra Pratap Swain will oversee the Co-operative Cell, strengthening cooperative initiatives.
For education affairs, Badri Narayan Patra will head the Sikhya o Sikhyaka Cell, and Dr. Ramesh Chandra Chyau Patnaik will manage the Fishermen Cell, advocating for the rights and welfare of fishing communities. Mangala Kisan has been appointed convenor of the Tribal Cell, reinforcing tribal empowerment efforts.
Senior leaders have also been entrusted with key social segments. Debashish Samantaray will lead the Senior Citizen Cell, Dr. Arun Kumar Sahoo the OBC Cell, and Mahesh Sahoo the SC Cell, ensuring focused initiatives for marginalised communities. Meanwhile, Amar Patnaik will oversee the IT & Social Media Cell, bolstering digital outreach strategies.
These appointments mark a renewed commitment by the party to fortify its leadership at various levels. Party members anticipate that this restructuring will pave the way for stronger community engagement and effective policy implementation.
