The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) officially commenced its month-long statewide mass contact campaign—the Janasamparka Padayatra—starting from the capital city of Bhubaneswar on Friday.
BJD Supremo and party President Naveen Patnaik personally graced the inauguration, kicking off the march from the Raja Field in Ward No. 52.
The ambitious outreach program is designed to fan out across all 34 organisational districts of Odisha. Party leaders, workers, and local representatives will take to the streets across blocks, urban local bodies (ULBs), NACs, and municipal corporations to connect directly with citizens at the grassroots level.
During this month-long campaign, BJD leaders plan to spotlight the alleged failures, policy shortcomings, and unfulfilled electoral promises of the current ruling government. The party aims to actively engage with diverse sections of society—including farmers, youth, students, and women—by addressing their pressing local issues and grievances, thereby strengthening public connect and party mobilisation across the state.
