Sanjay Jaju, Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, visited the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) Dhenkanal to review campus development efforts and discuss future expansion plans.
During his visit, Jaju inspected key infrastructure facilities, including hostels, the academic block, and media labs. Engaging in detailed discussions with Regional Director Prof. Dr. Anand Pradhan, he assessed the current academic initiatives, challenges, and the roadmap for strengthening the institution.
Prof. Pradhan highlighted the need for launching postgraduate programs and enhancing industry-academia collaboration to expand opportunities for students.
Jaju expressed satisfaction with the ongoing efforts and assured full support from the Ministry to help IIMC Dhenkanal evolve into a premier centre for media education in eastern India.
The visit underscores the government’s commitment to strengthening regional media institutes, ensuring access to quality education for aspiring journalists and media professionals across the country.
