Odisha Vigilance arrested Rajesh Chandra Mohanty, Additional Chief Engineer, Dam Safety, Bhubaneswar, for possession of disproportionate assets.

He will be produced before the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack.

Investigators searched multiple properties linked to Mohanty and uncovered assets far beyond his known sources of income. The findings included a palatial multi-storeyed building in Bhubaneswar, a farmhouse with a double-storeyed building covering 4000 sq ft on 1.71 acres, eight plots, deposits worth over Rs 1.81 crore, cash amounting to Rs 6.23 lakh, 350 grams of gold, and two four-wheelers.

Officials stated that Mohanty failed to provide satisfactory explanations for the assets. Vigilance registered Cuttack PS Case No. 15/2026 under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2018.
