Preparations for Ganesh Puja have gathered pace in Bhuban, with a grand toran inspired by Vrindavan’s famous Prem Mandir set to emerge as one of the major attractions of this year’s celebrations.
The puja committee has intensified preparations for the elaborate structure, which is expected to draw the attention of devotees and visitors once construction is completed.
Prem Mandir-inspired toran to steal the show
For the past several years, the Friendship Club has been creating massive torans inspired by prominent historical and religious landmarks during Ganesh Puja celebrations.
The club’s young members have previously recreated structures resembling Kedarnath Temple, the Jagannath Temple in Puri and the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, attracting considerable attention from visitors.
This year, the committee has chosen the architectural style of Prem Mandir in Vrindavan for its grand toran, generating excitement among devotees and local residents.
Three days of festive celebrations
The celebrations are expected to add a vibrant atmosphere to Bhuban, with the entire area set to resonate with chants of “Radhe Radhe” during the three-day festivities.
Along with the grand toran, elaborate decorations are being planned to enhance the festive ambience and make this year’s Ganesh Puja a memorable occasion.
With preparations already underway, enthusiasm among residents and devotees is growing, while the Prem Mandir-inspired structure is expected to become the centrepiece of the celebrations once completed.
