The 3rd International Bharat 6G Symposium 2026 concluded at Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, reinforcing India’s transition from a major telecom market to a leading global technology hub.
Organised by the Bharat 6G Alliance (B6GA) alongside India Mobile Congress 2026, the event convened over 75 experts, including 30 international delegates, to shape the roadmap toward IMT-2030.
Addressing the valedictory session, Union Minister of State for Communications and Rural Development, Dr Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani, stressed that self-reliance and global collaboration go hand in hand. He emphasised that 6G must prioritise affordability and accessibility to prevent a new digital divide, highlighting the integration of terrestrial and satellite networks to connect remote areas in alignment with the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.
A major milestone was the exchange of five new MoUs with global bodies—GSMA, one6G, GTI Alliance, 6G Innovation Forum Taiwan, and VoICE—to foster international research, spectrum harmonisation, and joint trials.
B6GA also released ten white papers, including a progress report on 6G Joint Principles, championing secure, resilient, and sustainable network designs.
Additionally, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) presented a curtain raiser for the Emerging Science, Technology and Innovation Conclave (ESTIC) 2026, scheduled for Oct 27–29 at Bharat Mandapam.
DoT will lead a specialised session on “Intelligent Networks and Quantum Communication” on Oct 28, driving future-ready digital infrastructure.
