India’s historic T20 World Cup 2026 triumph in Ahmedabad has earned the squad a massive Rs 131 crore cash prize from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

India defeated New Zealand in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium, becoming the first team to retain the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup trophy. With this win, India also became the first side to clinch the title three times, cementing their dominance in the format.

The Board congratulated the players, support staff, and selectors on the achievement. “The Board congratulates the players, support staff and selectors once again on this historic achievement and wishes them continued success in the future,” BCCI said in its statement.
