Tickets for the India-South Africa T20 match at Barabati Stadium will be available online from December 1.
The Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) confirmed the schedule after a meeting at the Collector’s office.
OCA Secretary Sanjay Behera announced that affiliated agencies will distribute tickets on December 3 and 4. General visitors can purchase tickets at six counters inside the stadium on December 5 and 6. The number of tickets to be released has not yet been finalised. The association finalised this plan to ensure smooth ticket distribution and crowd management.
The highly anticipated T20 clash between India and South Africa will take place on December 9. Fans across Odisha are eager to witness the international fixture at Barabati Stadium, which has hosted several memorable matches in the past.
OCA emphasised that online ticket sales will begin first to provide convenience for fans who prefer digital access. The counters will serve those who wish to buy tickets directly. The phased ticket sale system aims to balance demand and avoid overcrowding.
The Collector’s office played a key role in coordinating the ticketing strategy. Officials discussed security, logistics, and crowd control measures before finalising the dates.
Preparations are in full swing as OCA gears up for the international clash. This will be the second international match at Barabati in 2025, following the India-England one-day game held on February 9. Cricket lovers in Odisha are excited to witness another high-voltage contest at the iconic venue.
Barabati Stadium has a rich history of hosting memorable encounters. The last international T20 here was played on June 12, 2022, when India faced South Africa. Interestingly, the first-ever T20 international at Barabati also featured India against South Africa on October 5, 2015.
