All educational institutions in Balangir district will remain closed for two days in view of an Orange Warning for heavy rainfall issued by the Special Relief Commissioner.
The Balangir Collector and District Magistrate has ordered the closure of all government, government-aided and private educational institutions on September 23 and 24.
The order covers Elementary, Secondary and Higher Secondary schools, Odisha Adarsha Vidyalayas (OAVs), Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs), Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRS) and all Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) across the district.
Closure Ordered for Student Safety
According to the official notification, the decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety and security of students amid the forecast of heavy rainfall.
However, examinations that were already scheduled for September 23 and 24 will continue as planned. There will be no change to the existing examination schedule.
Institutions Asked to Follow Order
All heads of educational institutions have been directed to ensure strict compliance with the closure order.
The notification was issued by the Additional District Magistrate, Balangir, on behalf of the Collector and District Magistrate.
