Australia Women delivered a commanding performance to defeat India Women by 10 wickets in the one-off Test at the WACA Ground, Perth.
The hosts wrapped up the match inside the first session of Day 3, showcasing complete control with both bat and ball.
India, batting first, managed 198 runs in 62.4 overs. Jemimah Rodrigues scored 52, Shafali Verma added 35, and Kashvee Gautam contributed 34*. Australia’s bowlers struck regularly, with Annabel Sutherland taking 4/46 and Lucy Hamilton claiming 3/31.
Australia responded strongly, posting 323 in 90.4 overs to secure a 125-run lead. Sutherland starred with a brilliant 129, while Ellyse Perry added 76. Their 128-run stand for the fourth wicket set the tone. Sayali Satghare impressed for India with 4/50, but Australia maintained control.
India faltered again in the second innings, bowled out for 149 in 48.2 overs. Pratika Rawal fought hard with 63, while Sneh Rana scored 30. Hamilton picked up 3/32, supported by Sutherland, Ashleigh Gardner, and Alana King.
Chasing just 25, Australia’s openers Georgia Voll (16) and Phoebe Litchfield (11) sealed victory in 4.3 overs. Sutherland’s all-around brilliance earned her Player of the Match honours.
Australia captain Alyssa Healy praised the team’s discipline and expressed hope for more women’s Test matches. India captain Harmanpreet Kaur acknowledged the learning experience and vowed stronger performances in future series.
