Actor Athiya Shetty and cricketer KL Rahul have entered a new chapter in their lives. The couple has welcomed their first child, a baby girl. On Monday, they took to their social media handle to share the happy news.
Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul announced their baby girl’s arrival in a joint post. They shared a beautiful illustration with watercolour swans. It read, “Blessed with a Baby Girl. 24.03.2025. Athiya & Rahul.” While they did not share a caption, they dropped a baby emoji.
The post instantly grabbed attention and the comments section was filled with congratulations and love from celebrities. Kiara Advani, who is expecting her first child with Sidharth Malhotra dropped a series of heart emojis, cheering for the happy pair.
Arjun Kapoor dropped a cute comment that read, “She is here!!! #Squishy !!! Congratulations, guys.” Parineeti Chopra wrote, “Congratss guys!” Kriti Sanon commented, “Omg!!! Congrats you two.”
Meanwhile, Athiya’s brother Ahan Shetty dropped a white heart and evil eye emoji. Earlier, Athiya’s father Suniel Shetty, who is now a nana, took to his Instagram Stories to reshare the announcement post. He simply added a heart and evil eye emoji to express his joy.
Athiya and Rahul shared the news of their pregnancy back in November 2024. They shared a post that read, “Our beautiful blessing is coming soon. 2025.” Before welcoming their bundle of joy, they shared photos from a dreamy maternity shoot. The two can be seen snuggled on a couch with Athiya cradling her baby bump.
