IAF astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla visited Sai International School in Bhubaneswar to inspire young minds with his extraordinary journey to the International Space Station (ISS) during the Axiom-4 mission.
Shukla described his mission as a remarkable achievement. Moreover, he explained that only after returning to Earth did he realise the importance of the experience. He shared how the absence of gravity challenges the human body, as blood flows into the brain and the heartbeat slows. Consequently, he noted that the first few days in space are difficult, and re-adjusting to Earth’s environment also requires effort.
While speaking to students, Shukla expressed happiness about returning to Odisha. In addition, he recalled his earlier visits and emphasised his joy in meeting enthusiastic learners. He encouraged children to study science and aim for careers in aerospace and space research. Furthermore, he highlighted that space exploration offers unique experiences worth sharing and motivates future generations to dream big.
Shukla also participated in the ninth edition of the annual Science and Technology Fair at Sai International School. During the event, he explained that India’s Gaganyaan mission is progressing and confirmed his involvement in the project. He revealed ambitious plans, stating that by 2040, India aims to reach the Moon.
Additionally, he urged students to pursue their passion for aerospace and assured them of his support and encouragement. His words resonated with the audience, inspiring them to think beyond boundaries and embrace the possibilities of space science.
Ultimately, Shukla’s presence at the event marked a significant moment for Odisha’s youth, reinforcing the importance of scientific curiosity and national ambition in space exploration.
