Angul: The local administration fined a wedding organiser in Talcher block of Angul district Rs 20,000 for violating the Covid-19 guidelines.
Following this, the the food prepared for the guests was distributed among poor and needy people in Talcher block.
As per available informtion, on Harihar Lenka of Gurujang village had organised the feast on the occasion of his daughter’s wedding and invited over a hundred guests.
Receiving information about the same, the local administration and police raided the wedding venue and reprimanded Lenka. They also collected a fine of Rs 20,000 from him. They with the help of the local Sarpanch distributed the food among the poor and needy.
